Name, Age, Location?

I'm Adam, 19 and living in London and Leeds for uni.

What do you spin/produce?

I produce and spin 130bpm dark house/garage/funky/bass with the occasional dubstep and grime tunes chucked in!

How long have you been producing/playing sets?

I've been seriously producing about 2 years, been officially DJing for about 6 months now but messed around a fair bit before that.

Where can we hear you?

You can catch me on Rood FM every Friday 8-10pm - rood.fm. The shows recorded and podcasted as well so you can clock that through iTunes.

Give us a tune for the summer?

Ah mate come on, you can't ask me to pick one. I guess...

Mosca - Eva Mendes. I literally can't wait for that one to drop. But so many huge tunes at the minute lots of people are making some serious heat!

Future plans?

Spending the summer making plenty of tunes and hopefully getting some more confirmed bookings. Aiming to have a couple more releases out later this year, and maybe even (dare I say it) start up my own label... maybe... haha.

Finally, tell us a little bit about the mix?

The mix is just a collection of tunes I'm loving at the minute and from people who are making some massive sounds! It's a small part of what you'd hear from my RoodFM show or at a live set.

These are just a few highlights from a large amount of stuff that I've been sent or stumbled on through using the SoundCloud platform.

Rather impressed with this track from Armeria. Synth lines with glowing warmth, nicely incorporated vocal samples and plenty in between. The small breakdown section takes it up to another level. Quite remarkable for someone that's only been producing for a few months.

Liked the whole largeness of the atmospheric sound on this one and it has a great pace to it, which doesn't really slow down. All sorts of sounds drop in and out, making it an interesting listen.

The groove and top line melody are what get me on this one from Saulya. Didn't really notice how much I was into it until the track finished. All the layers interchange with each other perfectly.

Straight grime tip for this one, which stood out to me, with booming baseline backdrops. Little bit of a different sound, from what I've heard anyway from the increasingly impressive Mak and Pasteman. Would love to hear more from the end faded part, where the track sounds like it takes on a 2-step kinda of vibe.

For some reason this didn't exactly hit me how good this was until only recently (although it hasn't been posted for long). Fantastic strong builds and vocal sample work, extremely reminiscent of Jacques Greene's work. Such a strong song and I love the way it completely drops down with the vocal at 1.33 and constructs deeper from there.

I've been producing for 3 years, but I've only recently got into playing out music.

Favourite bit of production kit?

I don't really have any hardware as such, but my favourite thing ever is Ableton's auto filter. Haha.

Play out more live sets and continue to give away music.

It's just a mix of loads of stuff. I don't really think that it makes much sense, but whatever. I love old house, so I thought that I should have a nice mix between past and presant.
