'Rising Nottingham-based label and club night Wigflex serve up their first release of 2012 after previously releasing music from artists such as Lone, Shortstuff, Geiom and Hizatron.
This time around it's the turn of the leftfield leaning Metske and his Technoid alter-ego Metaphi as he delivers an accomplished array of experimental tracks that touch upon IDM, Breaks, Hip-Hop and down-tempo House. No suprise then, that his dual personas are pricking up a few ears as the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs have been quick to show their love for his sound.'
This one is a real fascinating listen, lots going on all over the place in each production. 'Conscius' and 'Messmode' are the highlights for me.
Really love tracks that continue to progress and have lots of underlying layers involved, giving you more to discover each time to listen. This is exactly what your getting here.
High quality electronica. Released 25th June by Wigflex.
Recommended Listening: Spin States, Conscius & Messmode.
Peep the animated video for 'Spin States', which make use of some great sega mega drive styled graphics and is certainly worth your attention...
