Have been looking out for more of Ifan Dafydd's material since earlier this year. He has become one of the producers around at the moment that I get excited to hear more from.
Love the way that this speeds up towards the end, wonderful build up. His tracks are always rich in sound.
'To Me', is a double A side single released along wth 'Treehouse' on February 6th by Push & Run.
'Take Me There evokes the ghosts of classic, early 90’s dance tracks into present day London. The intricately woven production puts it straight into club classics territory.'
This is another great track that showcases 14th's ability to channel multiple music genre's, creating their own hybrid sound.
‘Take Me There’ is released Monday 6th February 2012.
Below I've added an embed, from 14th soundcloud, of their live session with Rob Da Bank on Radio 1. A bit of chat and a live performance of their brilliant single 'Hide Yourself'. Tracey's voice sounds incredible live...
Earlier this year I posted up Jim-E Stack's 'Lemme', which I really enjoyed and this follows that up in the same fashion. Excellent cut up vocal samples, a rhythm which keeps the track moving at pace and lots of lovely layers.
Looking forward to the EP.
'Come Between' is taken from Jim-E Stack's debut EP coming out on Good Years early 2012.
iO touches up the pace, building apon the excellent whimsical vocal taken from the original. The way that this rises and progresses really takes you in.
'Winning fans amongst Pitchfork, NME, XLR8R, The Guardian, Loud and Quiet, Altered Zones and Fader, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence made their debut in 2010 with the sublime ‘Offline Dexterity’. Since then the brothers, aged 17 and 20, have released 'Carnival' and 'I Love That You Know' as well as giving away an EP for free.
2011 marked a fantastic year for Disclosure, so with their upcoming SBTRKT support and excellent new single on the horizon 2012 looks like the year they'll be cemented as one of the most exciting prospects in electronic music.'
In the same vain as 'Listening to Burial' it has that dreamy 'post-dubstep' production vibe. Safe to say that there are not a lot of MC's that are going over the same beats as Context MC, which is what seperates him from the norm.
Love the flow of words in the chorus, it's a big hook line and completely draws me in.
