Whenver I hear a tune from Joker, I can tell that's produced by him. He has a signature sound, which for some artists can be a negative, but I'm for it with Joker. Always eager to hear some great sawtooth synths that Joker produces.
This is the 2nd single taken from Joker's forthcoming debut album 'The Vision'.
If you haven't already, I suggest you look up the title track from the album featuring the excellent vocals of Jessie Ware. It's been on heavy rotation on every system that I have since it's release.
It's a breezy summery number with sped up trademark drums patterns from Shy, who is great at capturing that carnival vibe. Dyanmite is the perfect compliment to this track also.
Not sure when this is due for release.
*Update* Looks like they took down the above stream just after I posted it and have now uploaded a youtube stream of the tune to Yasmin's channel... only with the verse from Ms Dynamite missing...
'Admin, better known the Adam Wickens, is a bass music DJ and producer. He's had some support from Dark Sky, DJ Cable and even Mad Decent's blog who posted a couple of his tunes on their SoundCloud round-up.' via K Mag.
The production on this is great, from listening to this I get shades of Calvin Harris, Jamie xx and Drake all rolled into one song. Love the final 30 odd seconds of the track, with all elements of the track coming together.
See iO's soundcloud for more excellent pieces of produced music. You won't be disappointed.
This track 'No Good' by Ifan Dafydd is just great.
Loved it from the first time that I heard it. The whole vibe of the track, the fantastic sample of Ms Winehouse and all the interesting little sounds, glitches and jitters resonate well with me.
I've seen lots of rumours floating about to the idenity of Ifan Dafydd, with some suggesting that it is in fact an alias for James Blake. Not exactly sure what to make of this or whether if I believe such rumours, but does it really matter when the music is this good.
This track has been a great way to start my Sunday. Nice dreamy atmospheric intro with a smooth build up into some wobbles and glitches, coming towards a final conclusion of breaks.
Delphic are a group that I've already been meaning to look into, but never managed to much listen to a lot of other music. The odd track here and there, but never enough to get a proper grasp of their music. This is the beautiful thing about remixes and remix packages, that they introduce you to new artists as well as remixers.
'For 'Kicking and Screaming' the girls hooked up with Example and red hot producer iSHi - who produced ‘Written In The Stars’ for Tinie Tempah - to make the mischievous pop duo’s second single ‘Kicking and Screaming’ - a feisty little electro heavy number with more pop cultural references that a copy of Heat. Mike Delinquent has taken the track by the reigns and to old-skool highs.'
MASSIVE REMIX ALERT!
Mike Delinquent has turned Oh My! infectious sound and made it even more delicious.
He is single handedly bringing back UKG. The work rate and quality of the remixes coming from this guy in relentless. At this rate the album that he is producing, along with vocalist KCat, is going to be a monster.
This remix works so well, seems like this track was destined to be an all out garage assault. Such a good vibe.

This did catch my attention when reading the track listing for the first time. Can't say that I'm a massive fan of Laidback Luke, but from the tunes I have heard they are usually huge dance raver numbers, with massive synths. This doesn't seem to be an exception and I was intrigued to hear what Example would sound like on a Luke track.
Below are the production credits for the album, which is a impressive list of who's who in dance music at the moment...
1. Skies Don’t Lie (produced by Funkagenda)
2. Stay Awake (produced by Nero)
3. Changed The Way You Kiss Me (produced by Michael Woods)
4. The Way (produced by Faithless)
5. Natural Disaster (Laidback Luke vs Example) (Album Extended)
6. Never Had A Day (produced by Sheldrake & DC Breaks)
7. Microphone (produced by Brookes Brothers)
8. Playing In The Shadows (produced by Chase & Status)
9. Midnight Run (produced by Feed Me)
10. Under The Influence (produced by Skream)
11. Wrong In The Head (produced by Tom Neville & Brookes Brothers)
12. Anything (produced by Dirty South)

'At Your Inconvenience' is the title track taken from Professor Green's forthcoming second album out this autumn, which you can pre-order here.
Pro Green delivers multiple quotable lines, to say over the least, over sporadic production and hip hop centric drum patterns. Humorous lyrics pointing towards public figures will surely get people talking and is a great way of getting people talking about your new album. I can already see people being split over this one.
Soon enough someone was going to come through with a remix of this and Marco Del Horno switches it up adding electronics, glitches and baselines to the massive 'I'm on One'. Loving the whole rhythm to this, fits together well and takes the track to another place.
If your not familiar with any Marco Del Horno productions then have a listen below or alternatively look at his soundcloud...
This tune has been knocking around for quite a while now. If you didn't know, it's produced by one half of the the legendary Artful Dodger, Mark Hill.
The original version of 'Could Just Be The Bassline' featured Ed Sheeran, but because of Ed's signing to Atlantic the vocals had to be switched up. The label didn't seem to like the idea of him on this single release.
Now the vocal have been patched up by Kal Lavelle. I have to admit that when I first heard the new version, I wasn't a fan at all. This was until this club version was uploaded to Artful's soundcloud the other day. I'm fully converted now, this version is great. The production is on point, they fit with the vocal effortlessly and the trademark violin stabs at the beginning reminded me all over again how great the Artful Dodger were.
It's up for a free download here, go grab it while you can.
Below is the original version with Ed Sheeran, which is still great...
Calvin Harris' new single got it's first play on Pete Tong's Radio 1 show.
Can someone tell me if this is Calvin singing on the track?
Can't determine if it's him or not, I suppose there would be a mention of a featured artist. Whoever it is the vocal really suits this track, subtle and not over the top at all.
This is a pleasant dance number from Calvin that has a tiny bit of David Guetta about it. It gets the thumps up from me, although it's maybe not as big sounding as previous release 'Bounce'.
The single package includes Nero, Benny Benassi and Dillion Francis remixes. Something worth a look out for.
'In Watch Me Dance Toddla has created a dubwise, street-soul masterpiece. In a typically precocious reference to records that were made when he was 4 and 10 years old respectively Toddla sums it up. "A bit of the Soul from Soul II Soul Club Classics and a bit of the left-field from Leftism, I've been listening to those now and again, they took in a whole load of club music and made an album that summed something up and were great to listen to at the same time."
In ensuring Watch Me Dance was everything Toddla envisaged it could be he’s carefully selected an impressive line up of friends, peers and musical icons to guest vocal, co-produce, remix, co-write with him on the album. Names including previous collaborator Roots Manuva, fellow DJ, producer and remixer Skream, Ms Dynamite, Ross Orton, Wayne Marshall, Donaeo, Roisin Murphy and of course Shola Ama.'
The mix features both of the singles that have been released already, a Ms Dynamite featured track and 'Cherry Picking', a song recorded with the excellent Roisin Murphy for Record Store Day.
This is served up as Delilah's first solo effort, which is being released by Atlantic records. Been steadily replaying this one all week and you can't get away from the flipping of a dance classic.
Her voice is quite magnificent in my opinion. It's very distinctive and this is a excellent vocal performance on a down tempo minimal production.
I'm going to be looking out for more from her.
You may remember Delilah from Chase and Status' last release 'Time', which the video is below...
With all the mutant euro dance rappers out at the moment it's nice to just hear a boom bap kick, snare and a sample, especially when it's made this well.
Just excellent all round.
Common is one of my favourite hip hop artists, 'Be' is one of my favourite albums of all time and I always look out for his music. He signed to Warner Bros Records this week and hopefully this is a kick start to a new album on the label.
Well I said in my last post that Elliot's label would get a youtube stream up as soon as radio got the first play and I wasn't wrong.
Data/Ministry seem to be on it when it comes to actually putting up streams for people to listen to. So many labels are really reluctant and I feel thats what drives (some) people to seek other ways of obtaining tracks.
As for the song itself, I very much like it. The synth sections instantly reminded me of Calvin Harris' 'Flashback', but they soon turn into Nero's signature bending baselines. It's a great concoction of uplifting trance chords with dubstep and sing along hook lines, which Example seems to have perfected a formula for.
The whole Example album launch has really kicked into gear this week with the release of the artwork (above) and the track listing (below). Also Elliot spoke to Annie Mac about the producers on board for this album and it's a truly amazing list of talented producers. Nero, Michael Woods, Skream, Faithless, DC Breaks and Laidback Luke are just a few names and the results are something that I'm extremely keen to hear.
